ABOUT BECOME AMERICAN
Practice what you know—not what you can guess.
Become American is a free beta study game for the 2025 USCIS civics questions. It is built for learners who want to practice recalling an answer in their own words, not picking from a list of choices.
How it works
Start a short session, read a civics question, and type the answer you remember. There are no multiple-choice hints to make the answer easier to spot.
The game checks established answers and common ways of saying them. When an answer needs more interpretation, it can use AI to help review natural-language responses. You can also reveal the official study answer whenever you want—before or after you submit—so each question can become a quick learning moment.
Why answer in your own words?
Choosing an answer can feel familiar even when you cannot recall it on your own. Typing your response asks you to retrieve what you know, which makes it easier to see what is ready and what deserves another look.
You do not need to learn a secret phrase or fight a rigid form. Say the answer naturally, then use the result and study answer to keep going.
Made for real practice
Choose a quick 10-question session, a 20-question session, a category, or the 65/20 senior-question study set. Some questions about elected officials can optionally use your state and ZIP so the game can include your current local answers; those questions are skipped when you do not provide that information.
Free while we build
The game is currently free to use during beta. We are continuing to improve the experience, the question coverage, and the grading—so feedback and a little patience are appreciated.
A quick important note
Become American is an independent study aid, not USCIS or legal advice. AI can make mistakes, including grading or answer mistakes. For current test rules, questions, answers, naturalization information, or any other immigration benefit, rely only on official USCIS materials.
